Dear Scarsdale Ballet Families,

As the 2020-2021 school year approaches, we have all been forced to rethink the way we live and work in the most fundamental ways.  For many of us, it has brought us to a crossroads, and I realized my time had come to move in a new direction and pursue new projects.

I am deeply moved as I write to you now of my decision to leave Scarsdale Ballet.  I have formed many warm and fulfilling relationships with students, faculty and Scarsdale Ballet families.  I will miss you all, but I carry in my heart the many joyful moments watching students blossom in the context of our shared love of dance.

Even though I won’t be at the studio every afternoon, I hope to see many of you now and again when I visit the studio in the coming months.

It has been an honor to contribute to the education and development of so many wonderful, young people.  A love and appreciation of ballet is a lifetime gift that still nourishes me to this day.  If I have planted the seeds of that love in the hearts of my students, I can be proud of the garden I worked hard to cultivate.

Wishing you health, happiness and a fulfilling year full of dance, I take my leave with a “reverence.”
