Scarsdale Ballet Studio
Students in Diana White's Level D class were filmed as part of former Pennsylvania Ballet dancer, Connie Hochman's, documentary project, "In Balanchine's Classroom."

Caroline Rotante and Amanda Kraus were selected to perform the role of Clara in the “Nutcracker” at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College. Several SBS students appeared in other roles in the production.

Skylar Brandt, now a student of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School won the Silver Medal at the 2008 Youth America Grand Prix.

Christine Zhen is a model for Capezio.

Skyla Schreter, now a student at the School of American Ballet, performed the principal role of Mabel in Susan Strohman's "Double Feature" at the New York City Ballet.   

Catherine Hurlin performed the role of Clara in Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Spectacular

Several former students of the Studio are now studying at the NYC Ballet’s School of American Ballet and at American Ballet Theater's official school, The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in Manhattan.

Several of our students were accepted to and attended prestigious Intensive programs over the summer, including, the School of American Ballet Summer Course, the American Ballet Theater Summer Intensive, the Kirov Academy, the Boston Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and the Chatauqua Summer Intensive.


Faculty News

Diana White taught master classes in August 2008 at the Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris as part of Dance Festival International.

She will continue to be on the jury of the Youth America Grand Prix, judging the semi-finals in Chicago and the final rounds in New York City.
