Scarsdale Ballet Studio

The Scarsdale Ballet Studio, now in its 17th year, offers classical ballet training in a professional environment to students of all ages and levels. Our instructors have distinguished credentials and many years of performing and teaching experience.

Our students receive a thorough foundation in classical ballet technique and are encouraged to explore the full range of their artistic abilities. The syllabus follows an orderly progression in which advanced steps and combinations are learned only after the fundamentals have been mastered. Students who are enrolled in Ballet classes may also study Pointe, Variations, Jazz, Lyrical Dance and Contemporary Ballet (a fusion of classical ballet, jazz and modern dance).

We consider performing to be a valuable part of a dancer’s education. Experienced students may participate in our Spring Concertdance performance. Rehearsals for this take place on weekends throughout the winter. All students from age 4 on perform in our recital at the end of the year.

We are beginning a new Conservatory class which will be open to dancers in levels B and C who are attending at least four additional weekly classes. It is an extra challenge for those who wish to make ballet training their primary after-school activity.
